BWB is made up of volunteers from within the BC building industry with Project Management experience in the planning, design, construction, re-construction and maintenance of shelter. Our volunteers include individuals in the building trades, architects, engineers, project managers, construction specialists, procurement individuals, instructors in shelter related disciplines and the general public.

International Relief Organization Associations

We are currently discussing with Canadian NGO's such as World Vision, The Canadian Red Cross, Care Canada, Save the Children, the Christian Children's Fund, and staff have agreed to choose projects in which we have common interest. The basic business structure is as follows:

    (i) The international aid organization or shelter agency will request BWB to undertake a need assessment of the shelter and the skills training requirements of a specific project.

(ii) BWB will assist the NGO in identifying the shelter and skills training program , building costs and timeliness with input from its network of local construction industry associations

(iii) BWB will provide the NGO qualified individuals from their Canadian roster and wherever possible will partner them on site with construction industry professionals, for each particular job.

(iv) The NGO's will enter into agreements with the volunteers and would be responsible for paying the volunteer's cost of travel, food, accommodation and any short term health and disability insurance coverage similar to their own short term.
