Neuroscience 60 bed Centre of Excellence, Accra, GHANA 2009 to 2010

A Vancouver based Canadian Foundation is undertaking this project to design, build, equip, and train surgeons for this first neurosurgical centre for Ghana and indeed all of West Africa. The 60 bed centre will be located at the Korle-Bu Hospital in Accra.

Builders Without Borders along with a Vancouver Architectural firm has assisted in the completion of the architectural schematic drawings and cost estimate. Fundraising in is currently in progress.

Builders Without Borders expects to be providing advice on this project which consists of a three storey hospital building, as well as a small nurse's residence and visiting specialist's residence. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2008.
